MedCity Consulting was founded in 2015 with a simple belief: small businesses and individuals deserve great accounting and tax advice without the complexity or impersonal feel of a large firm.

I'm Jesse, the founder of MedCity Consulting. My career started in public accounting before moving into the private sector, where I managed the finances of a growing business. That experience gave me a perspective I still bring to my clients today. I understand that behind every financial statement is a business owner making decisions, managing challenges, and working toward something bigger.

I hold an MBA from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota and am a QuickBooks ProAdvisor. Along the way, I've been fortunate to receive recognition from within the profession, including being named a Top 100 ProAdvisor by Insightful Accountant in 2023 and earning a Woodard Top 50 Client Accounting Services Practice award in 2024. I also stay involved with the National Association of Tax Professionals, serving as treasurer of the Minnesota chapter.

Rochester has been home since grade school, and giving back to the community has always been important to me. I've served on the board of the Gift of Life Transplant House since 2012, currently as treasurer, and have previously held leadership roles with Rochester Area Builders and the Olmsted County History Center.

At the end of the day, I believe good accounting is about more than getting the numbers right. It's about building relationships, being available when questions come up, and helping clients make informed decisions with confidence. Whether you're running a business or looking for help with your personal taxes, my goal is to be someone you can count on throughout the year.
